Janna Chernetz is the Deputy Director and Director of NJ Policy at Tri-State Transportation Campaign. Her work centers on reforming transportation policies to ensure equitable outcomes for underserved communities. Janna spearheaded the development of the NJDOT endorsed Model Complete & Green Streets Policy. Key legislative victories include NJ’s Safe Passing law, the most comprehensive in the country, protecting NJ’s vulnerable road users and the historic 2018 NJTransit Reform legislation. Janna received her B.A. from Rutgers University and her J.D. from Vermont Law School.
