You might be wondering, what is Newark360 and why does it matter to me? Newark360 will create a framework for how our city will grow and evolve over the next 10 years. It matters to you is because it’s people that make a city! Hearing about your challenges will help us set goals and a path to address your concerns and make sure together we can improve the quality of life for all Newarkers and those to come.
Our website is highly interactive! You can take polls, map places in your neighborhood, read about our process and sign up to stay tuned for upcoming events coming to your own backyard. So, check it out!
There are great ideas everywhere – so tell everyone you know! Friends, family, brothers, sisters, teachers, students, kids – we want to hear from all of you! The more voices the better. Newark360 is nothing without yours. Newark360 is about shaping our city together.

What is Newark360?
A 360-degree view of our city and a vision for the future based on the input of a broad range of Newarkers
The purpose of the plan is for Newarkers to reshape Newark
The plan will set priorities and goals for the physical development of Newark for the next decade
The plan will set forth actions to implement the priorities and goals voiced by Newarkers
In 2018, Mayor Baraka put forth a vision for an equitable Newark based on a comprehensive citywide engagement process, Newark Forward. Newark360 will embody Newark Forward’s core values of Health, Equity, and Resilience, building them into the physical environment of the City.
Newark360 is our opportunity to listen to all Newarkers and build a shared vision of our city together.
PLAN ELEMENTS:
Newark360 will develop a collective vision for Newark along eight Plan Elements. These plan elements will support achievable actions for improving the city.
