A lifelong Newark resident, he is employed with the New Community Corporation as director for External Affairs/Community Engagement with a focus on Resident Organizing, Civic Engagement and Public Policy Awareness and Advocacy initiatives. He is Chairman of the Board of the New Community Federal Credit Union. He has had extensive experience in Newark grassroots community organizing and neighborhood policy development. He currently serves on the Newark Equitable Growth Advisory Commission and as Chairperson for the Newark Community Development Network and for the Board of the Believe in Newark Foundation. He is an Executive Committee member of the Newark Branch NAACP and is a founding Board member of the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District in Newark. He graduated from Rutgers University Newark with a Bachelor’s Degree in English.
