Darius is on the faculty of the Hillier College of Architecture and Design at NJIT and has been affiliated with the university since 1995. Darius has been involved in the recovery planning for New Orleans and has advised Mayors Cory Booker and Ras Baraka on airport, housing, parking, and bus rapid transit policies. In 2010, he was awarded the NCARB Grand Prize for Creative Integration of Practice and Education in the Academy.
